Thought 3: Here's a thought -- how many times can one use the word "thought" to begin a post without actually posting an actual thought? (apparently, 5) (and that's an actual thought) (in fact, it's the thought that counts) (that's a slow burner)
Anyways, here's
the thought: (well, not
the thought in the sense that it's
the thought that addresses the meaning of life, the universe, and everything -- just the one referenced in the post title) (but really, here:) How about I just aim lower in my endeavors, and just try to do a crappy, but generally good-enough job at what I'm doing? Then people wouldn't come to expect much, wouldn't then ask for more, wouldn't then expect more, and ultimately wouldn't get disappointed when I can't do the "more" they ask for and don't measure up to whatever increased expectation I would have set them up for if I did a less-crappy, more-than-good-enough job. That way, they won't complain it's not good enough, they won't be disappointed, and I won't be perpetually tired. Everyone wins! I mean, other people avoid increased responsibility all the time, so why can't I?
Thought 4: 42.
